Hill's PetFit Slimmer 2010 Competition

Standard Conditions of Entry

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
  2. Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and over that enter with an Eligible Pet and attend a participating vet clinic. The entrant’s pet will be an Eligible Pet if judged overweight by the vet at the participating vet clinic. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
  3. To enter:
    1. Consumers can enter the competition at any stage during the Entry Period before the competition closes on 26/11/2010. Entrant must attend a participating vet clinic with the Eligible Pet and enrol the Eligible Pet in the Hill’s PetFit 2010 program during the Entry Period. The vet at the participating vet clinic must complete a Hill’s PetFit 2010 Weight Loss Progress Card (“Progress tracker”) in hard-copy or online at www.hillspet.com.au/PetFit, (or www.hillspet.co.nz/petfit for New Zealand entrants) weigh the Eligible Pet, determine the goal weight for the Eligible Pet and prepare an appropriate Hill’s Prescription Diet for the Eligible Pet. The Eligible Pet must remain on the Hill’s Prescription Diet to be eligible to win this competition. The vet at the participating vet clinic will need to verify the starting weight on the Progress tracker online or with a clinic stamp (or similar) for hard-copy Progress trackers. Entrants must upload a current photo of their Eligible Pet at time of entering the competition. “Before” photos should be as recent as possible and “after” photos should be taken when the pet has reached the target weight.
    2. Once goal weight is achieved, entrant must visit the participating vet clinic to verify the Eligible Pet reaching the goal weight. The completed Progress tracker signed by the pet owner and veterinarian, or validated on line through www.hillspet.com.au/PetFit (or www.hillspet.co.nz/petfit for New Zealand), and accompanying before and after photos (if not online) should be posted to Hill’s Pet Nutrition or lodged online before the end of the Entry Period.
    3. Damaged, illegible, invalid or previous years cards Progress trackers or incomplete entries will be disqualified.
  4. The competition commences at 09.00 EDT on 01/1/2010 and closes at 23.59 EDT on 26/11/2010 (“Entry Period”).
  5. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on candidate weight loss, medical history and other medical criteria. The best candidate in Australia and New Zealand will be judged the “Hill’s PetFit Slimmer of the Year for 2010” winner for that country. The Judges’ decision and interpretation of the rules is final.
  6. Judging will take place at 11.00 EDT on 1/12/2010 at 68-72 Waterloo Rd, North Ryde NSW 2113 (for Australian entries) and 666 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland (for New Zealand entries).
  7. The prize consists of one year supply of Hill’s Pet Food for the national winner (to a maximum RRP value of $1500). The amount of Pet Food for this prize varies depending on the weight of the Eligible Pet and the type of Hill’s Pet Food for the Eligible Pet. The one year supply of Hill’s Pet food to be redeemed at the winners local veterinary practice. The winner will also receive a $2,000 American Express travel voucher. Travel voucher must be redeemed within 6 months of the announcement of the winner and is subject to normal booking availability. All other ancillary costs including but not limited to travel insurance, taxes, meals, drinks, transfers and any and all other expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
  8. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incorrect/outdated cards or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
  9. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  10. The winner will be notified by telephone.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winner and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
  12. The travel voucher prize is subject to the terms and conditions of American Express Travel. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the conduct of American Express Travel or otherwise as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize (even if caused by negligence), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  13. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify the competition.
  14. Entrants confirm that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  15. By participating, entrants agree that ownership of any intellectual property in their entry is assigned to the Promoter.
  16. Entries (including photographs) remain the property of the Promoter. Entries will not be returned. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the competition) and for promotional purposes surrounding this competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant. Hill’s PetFit Half and Full Way Prizes

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
  2. Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and over that enter with an Eligible Pet and attend a participating vet clinic. The entrant’s pet will be an Eligible Pet if judged overweight by the vet at the participating vet clinic. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
  3. To enter:
    1. Entrant must attend a participating vet clinic and enrol the Eligible Pet in the Hill’s Pet Fit 2010 program during the Entry Period. The vet at the participating vet clinic must complete a Hill’s PetFit 2010 weight loss Progress tracker online at www.hillspet.com.au/PetFit (or www.hillspet.co.nz/petfit for NZ) weigh the Eligible Pet, determine the half-way weight loss goal and full weight loss goal and prepare an appropriate Hill’s Prescription Diet diet for the Eligible Pet. The vet at the participating vet clinic must validate the starting weight online.
    2. To be eligible to win a half-way weight loss prize, the Eligible Pet must reach the pre-determined half-way weight loss goal by 30/08/2010. The entrant is required to visit the vet clinic before 30/08/2010 to verify the Eligible Pet reaching the half-way weight loss goal. The vet from the participating vet clinic must validate the Progress tracker online and the Entrant must select the half-way prize that the Entrant wants before 30/08/2010.
    3. To be eligible to win the full weight loss prize, the Eligible Pet must reach the pre-determined full weight loss goal weight by 26/11/2010. The entrant is required to visit the vet clinic before 26/11/2010 to verify the Eligible Pet reaching the full weight loss goal. The vet from the participating vet clinic must validate the Progress tracker online and the winner must select the full weight loss prize that the winner wants before the 26/11/2010.
  4. The competition commences at 09.00 EDT on 01/1/2010 and closes at 23.59 EDT on 26/11/2010 (“Entry Period”).
  5. Winners will be notified by email within 2 days of becoming eligible to receive a prize. Winners are only able to claim prizes upon validation of reaching half way weight loss and full weight loss goals. Selection of prizes is subject to the stock of those items that are available – some items may not be available at time of selection.
  6. Half-way weight loss prize consist of a travelling water bowl (RRP $15) or cat exercise toy (RRP $12) or ball thrower (RRP $12). Full weight loss prize consists of a dog seatbelt attachment (RRP $17) or cat/dog grooming glove (RRP $11) or cat exercise toy (RRP $12) or dog exercise toy (RRP $20). Limits apply to both half way weight loss prizes and full weight loss prizes. For the half way weight loss prize there is a limit of 50 prizes in Australia and 50 prizes in New Zealand. For the full weight loss prize there is a limit of 50 prizes in Australia and 50 prizes in New Zealand. All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  7. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
  8. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  9. If necessary, a second chance draw will be held at 10.00 EST on 01/03/2011 at 68-72 Waterloo Road, North Ryde NSW 1610 in order to distribute any unclaimed prizes.
  10. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
  12. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify the competition.
