Some facts to keep in mind

  • The food your pet eats plays an important part in their overall health and well-being. And a nutritious, complete and balanced diet is an essential part of an active lifestyle.
  • Even if your pet does not show any signs of being overweight, it is important to have regular weight checks at the veterinarian to make sure his or her ideal weight is maintained.
  • The key to keeping a diabetic pet healthy is routine. Feeding, exercise and if necessary, giving medication should take place at the same times each day. This helps maintain stable blood glucose levels. Your veterinarian will give you advice.
